People react differently to traumatic exposure. Some people develop mild discomfort which resolves without treatment within a month and others develop severe symptoms such as tension, irritability, inability to relax or sleep well, emotional overwhelming and re-experiencing the traumatic event or aspect of it. Many people feel grief-stricken, depressed, anxious, guilty and angry after a traumatic experience.
Sonya offers psychological treatment for the symptoms associated with single, multiple and prolonged traumatic experiences tailored to the type of the trauma and the context of the experience.

Sonya prioritises people who work in the ambulance, fire and police services and offers a discounted service for people working in or retired from these professions where their income is low.
